A spotted stranger... Empty A spotted stranger...

The grass moved soundless under his paws as he snuck closer to the borders of this other pride, he had yet to see them, or hear them, only smelling their markings. Timidly he made his way across the borders, hoping he was on the right lands...and that he could truly be accepted. Lifting his head slowly he sniffed the air, his one unscarred eye looking around slowly. He was tempted to just sit down and wait, but as he looked up, he could see dark clouds...bearers of rain and wind. Huffing he headed for the trees, not wanting to get soaked...Although he loved water, he did not like getting too wet while not having a dry spot to rest in afterwards.

Once he reached the trees he climbed up a big one, setting against the trunk and relaxing on the branckes, watching the lands he had entered, smelling the air there, his normally hot headed nature not getting in his way this time, as he had leared some calm behaviour on his travels here.

Rudo sighed softly as he drifted along the perimeter of the pride lands, his ears pinned back against his skull. The male's pelt blended in rather well with the dry plant life that surrounded him, and for ones who didn't know that he was a lion, he could easily be mistaken for the lesser kudu that often made their ways through the pride's territory. Flicking his tail behind him, he scented the air, before taking part in the usual boundary marking routine. Dragging his rear legs through the brush, his ears swiveled atop his skull as he watched a few birds float over head. So many things seemed to be happening in the pride lately... from the fight with the surrounding pride to their own Alpha, Aurora, falling ill. It pained him to see her like that, especially since he was one of her personal guards. Things seemed as if sometimes they were going from bad, to worse. Grumbling softly to himself, the younger male stretched a bit, finishing his business before then carrying on.

He repeated this a good few times along the border before he felt a pang of fatigue strike him down. Panting lightly, he slowly lumbered over to a nearby tree before lazily flopping down beneath it. It was a rather hot day, and he didn't want to bother with scent marking anymore... Despite it being a job for the Alpha's, seeing as they were being tended too Buru took it upon himself to find people to fill the positions... And Rudo was chosen to be the lucky one to take part in that duty. Raising his head, he proceeded to groom over himself, taking particular care to the large emblem across his shoulder. Flicking his tail once more, he was aimlessly unaware to the other presence that was currently perched above him.

The spotted male in the tree blinked as the other lion came out from the forest and layed down underneath him, against the tree. Tilting his head for a bit he watched the other curiously for a while before slowly shifting, moving without a sound on the branch and looking at the other lion curiously, tail flicking slightly, his eye looking the other over slowly. After a bit he leaned his head down, clearing his throat. "Hello there....having a tiresom day?" His voice was gruff and low, with a clear accent. He watched the other, tensing in case the other lion might get aggressive and voilent, although he was not scared to fight, he did not want to.

Looking the other over as he waited again he leaned his head on the side, taking in the other's colors and the marking on hsi shoulder, which he could see was not a part of his natural pelt.
